International Record as a Team

  1. Nepal made the debut in an ICC event 2014 T-20 World Cup where Nepal manages to win two games and lost one remaining 12th among 16 participating nations.
  2. In 2004 Nepal played first-class cricket for the first time. It was ICC Intercontinental Cup against UAE and Malaysia.
  3. The first major tournament Nepal won was the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Five played in Kathmandu beating USA in the finals.
  4. In the 2006 ACC Trophy, Nepal bowled out Myanmar for just 10 runs in 12.1 overs and chased down the target of 11 in just 2 balls. Five extras was the top-scorer for the match.Nepal set two records in a this match i.e bowling out the opponent for minimum number of runs (10) and chasing the target in minimum overs (0.2 overs).     Nepal innings began with openers Gyanendra Malla and Mahesh Chhetri scoring three runs each. Nepal reach 6 runs from just two balls and it was matter of just a couple of more balls. International Record as an Individual

  1. Shakti Gauchan is the first and only Nepali player to give a trial in IPL so far. (Rajistan Royals)
  2. First Nepalese Cricketer to score an international century is Raju Khadka, he scored an unbeaten 105 runs off the 50 balls against Bhutan.
  3. Subash Khakurel is the highest One Day run score for Nepal so far. He manages to score 115 runs off the 142 balls played against United States in 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four.
  4. Mehboob Alam's 88 runs off the 41 balls is the highest Twenty 20 score for Nepal.It was against Saudi Arabia played in 2011 ACC Twenty-20.
  5. Mehboob Alam is the first bowler to take all 10 wickets in an ICC international cricket match with limited overs. Mehboob Alam 10/12 (7.5 overs) against Mozambique in 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division Five is the best One Day innings bowling in Cricketing history. Moreover, he was able to list himself in Guinness World Records for his outstanding Performance.
  6. Sompal Kami is the world record holder for the highest run scoring No. 10 batsman in twenty-20 International format so far. Sompal managed to score 40 runs off the 31 balls against Hong Kong.
