Before the league resumes, three star club was able to lift five major trophy in the domestic prestigious tournaments, which made every one to believe three star the most favorite to win the league trophy for 2075. Moreover, three star started preparation 8 months earlier for the league. All these things were in favor of the star but in the end of the day, things turn out to be a big mess.
Three Star club started Pulsar Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League on a good note. Three star managed to score a total of 7 goals in the first two match. In the third match of the league three star club faced arc revival Manang Marshyangdhi Club. In this competitive match Manang Marshyangdhi Club defeated Three Star Club by 2 goals to 1. After this defeat to MMC, three star club's performance, as compared to starting two matches, gradually started to decline. In the next 5 matches three star scored 8 goals before drawing 1-1 to Nepal Army Club in the 9th match of the league.
Thereafter, three star performance went even more bad to worst. Goalless draw against the newly promoted Chyasal Youth Club cost three star the more in the title run. In the 10th round undefeated MMC managed to clinch the title of Pulsar Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League for this season. Now three star target was to remain in the second position but 3-1 loss against the Nepal Police club and 2-1 loss against the high flying Sankata in the 10th and 11th match of the league sink the chance of being in the top two position in this league as well.
Moreover, defense line-up of three star club was very much poor during this season. Most reliable defender Ananta Tamang was not available due to two way contract issue. So, three star has to depend on one and only center back i.e. foreign recruit Peter Segun, which cost the most. Team playing XI was good but the substitute bench was not so strong. New veteran transfer striker Anil Gurung was not effective in the front line. And due to the injury main striker Ajayi Martins Kayode could not display his game in the important league matches. Striker Ranjan Bista managed to score 5 goal while the defender Ranjit Dhimal scored 7 goals for three star but could not help the team to reach the target. Regular captain, Bikram Lama's back on field was delighted news among the stars fans but he played as a defense rather than his regular position of central midfield, this decision of coach Megh raj Kc seems to be costly.
Similarly, Sunil Bal, emerging young talent for national side, also could not perform as expected in the midfield. Goalkeeper Alan Neupane, Nirajan Khadka, Bijay Dhimal, Buddha Raj Chemjong performance was not so satisfactory in the league.
All in all, poor defensive line up, blunt striking line etc. cost the most for three star club in the league.
In a good note, young players Mikchen Tamang and Sushil Rai, Defender Ashok Khawas, Jivan Gurung and Striker Susan Shrestha got chance to play in some of the league matches but were not so effective for Star.
