Nepal vs Kenya Match Preview

👨 Bibek Karkee 📅

Kirtipur- Kenya cricket seems to be a quite better side than Nepal with a greater history. One of their top class crickets was when they played 2003 World cup semifinal against India. At present, Both Nepal and Kenya are ranked at the same level.

Players to be watched
Dhiren Gondaria, Rakep Patel* (C), Irfan Karim (Wk), Shem Ngoche are some of the batsmen of Kenya who could cause trouble to Nepalese bowler.

Whereas on the bowling Nepal could get trouble facing the fast bowler of Kenya rather than the spinners. Elijah Otieno, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Shem Ngoche, Nelson Odhiambo are the bowlers to be alert with.

In the second match Nehemiah Odhiambo took 3 wickets, Ngoche 2, while Rakep, Otieno, Lucas Oluoch and Pushpak Kerai dismissed one player each.

In conclusion, I am sure that 250 around target by Kenya is not a big deal for Nepal. Batsmen for Nepal like Gyanendra Mall, Binod Bhandari, Sagar Pun, Sharad Vesawkar, Sunil Dhamala, Paras (if available) can easily carry Nepal to the Victory. As far as i am concern Kenya are good at batting rather than at balling.

*Rakep Patel scored a century against Nepal in 2014 T20 world cup Qualifier. Final result Nepal won by 6 wickets (with 2 balls remaining).
