Rohit Chand Thakuri is the Nepal‘s most promising talented and highest paid footballer in the nation. He is also the only player who has played most of his game from professional clubs of different countries including Nepal, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham, Rangers F.C. (Scottish Premiership), and Lille OSC (French club) showed interest in him after his sensational performance in the 1-1 draw against Jordan with the national team on the road to the 2014 World Cup which was played in Kathmandu.
Rohit Chand Thakuri was born in Surkhet, Nepal (born 1 March 1992). He started playing football at the age of 8 with his brother Rabin Chand Thakuri, who is also a semi-professional footballer, at the age of 13 Rohit was selected in ANFA ACADEMY, the only football academy for youth players in the country. After being selected in the academy he was able to make it into the U-16 National Team 2008. Due to the outstanding performance from U-16 side at the age of 16, Rohit was called up to the Senior National Team. This was the turning point of his Professional football career then after Chand started to show his magic in the ground. 25 years young Nepalese Professional footballer who plays as a midfielder is currently playing from for Indonesian club, Persija Jakarta in the Liga 1.
