Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) clinched the title of Marty's Memorial 'A' Division League 2018-19 for the record of 8th times. Previously, MMC won the league titles in 1986, 1987, 1989, 2000, 2003, 2005-06, 2013-14. MMC victory was confirmed in the 11th round after 100 percent winning record in the league, with two games in hand. MMC not only clinched the title of Marty's Memorial 'A' Division League 2018-19 but also will represent Nepal in the 2019 AFC Cup scheduled to begin from February 2019.
As the Champion Of the league, Manang Marshyangdi Club will compete against Minerva Punjab Fc, Dhaka Abahani Limited and a team from India/Bhutan/Sri Lanka.
About 2019 AFC Cup
2019 AFC Cup will be the 16th edition of the second-tire club competition organised by Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Teams from 46 AFC member associations will take part in the tournament. The associations are split into five zones i.e. West Asia Zone, Central Asia Zone, South Asia Zone , ASEAN Zone and East Asia Zone. These participating teams are ranked based on their national team's and clubs' performance over the last four years by AFC.
