9. Bal Gopal Maharjan
Bal Gopal Maharjan was born on 28 Aug 1975 debut in FIFA world cup qualifying in 1998 against Macau which ended in a 1-1 draw. The former Nepal’s captain and head coach of Nepal national football team playing history at FIFA tournaments 7 appearances 1 goal 2 wins 1 draw 4 losses. He played in the FIFA world cup qualifying in 1998 and 2002. Maharjan has played south Asian football federation (SAFF) championship, Asian games, and south Asian federation games 1999 for Nepal against Pakistan which ended in a 3-1 win. He played 13 years as a player for the Nepali national team and has almost played for most of the top Nepalese clubs. Similarly, he also has played for clubs in Indian and Bangladesh too.

Bal Gopal Maharjan was also a member of the team when Nepal ousted India 4-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in the final of the sixth SAG in Bangladesh to win a gold medal in South Asian games in 1993. After about 22 years when Nepal won 1st SAFF u19 championship 2015 this time he was the head coach of the team. The victory was not just a milestone for Nepal but a personal record for coach Maharjan, who became the first Nepali to win football titles as a player and as a coach.
After retirement from football Bal Gopal has been busy coaching different age level Nepalese teams and he has been busy in attended several coaching courses organized by the Asian football federation (AFC).
10. Hari Khadka
Hari Khadka born on 26 November 1976 in Jhapa is a former Professional Footballer, Player, Captain, And Coach of Nepali national football team. He and Nirajan Rayamajhi both are the leading goal scorers for Nepal with 13 goals each till the date (from 49 International Caps). Khadka was among the few luckiest player who scored a debut goal and an assist. His First International Cap was in 2051 BS (1995) against Pakistan in the games of SAARC.

Major achievements
- Won the best player in the local tournament of Jhapa in 2048 BS (1992) for which he was awarded with Cycle
- Won Yamaha Bike in Roopak Memorial Prize for being the best player in the League in 2062 BS (2005)
- Won Toyota Car for being the best player in the ‘A’ Division League in 2063 BS (2006)
In Nepalese football, he is commonly as a player who rode his first cycle and ended up in a lavish Yaris Car in his career. Some of the National and International clubs he has played for Ranipokhari Corner Team, Manang Marshyagdi Club (MMC), New Road Team (NRT), Nepal Police Club (NPC), Mohan Began AC(India), Mahindra united (India), Mohammedan Sporting (Bangladesh), Brothers Union (Bangladesh), Chitgod Awani, Kerela Police (India), Atlante Ciudad de Mexico, Prepa Pumas, etc.
He also took part in the FIFA 'A' Level training program.
11. Rakesh Shrestha
Rakesh Shrestha born on 14 January 1977 is a former Nepalese footballer who played for the National side from 2001-2010. Shrestha started with an awful debut match in which Nepal lost 6-0 against Kazakhstan on FIFA WC 2002 qualifiers. His playing history at FIFA tournaments includes 8 Appearances 0 Goal 2 Wins 0 Draw and 6 Losses.
The solid Defender has won two times A Division League (in 2011, 2010) and one time National League back in 2012 for Nepal Police Club. The most notable performance by Shrestha was in the 2007 AFC President's Cup where the Police Club finished as runners up. He played for Nepal national football team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification, 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification, and various other tournaments.
12. Sagar Thapa

Sagar Thapa born on 19 January 1984 is a Nepali national footballer. He made his first appearance for the national team in 2003.in the match played against Vietnam. He has played in 50 international matches (from 2003-2015).
The most famous moment of Sagar Thapa’s life was when he scores winning a "once-in-a-life-time" goal in 94th-minute against Bangladesh in the SAFF Championship 2011, not only this the goal which he scored made him in the Listed of World Player Of The Week list Along With Ribery and Yakubu. This goal was compared with the goal Ronaldinho scored against England in the 2002 World Cup.
He captained Nepal in various international tournaments including FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, Nehru Cup 2009, AFC Challenge Cup, and so on.
Some of the clubs he has played for are Himilayan Sherpa club, Friends Clubs, Manang Marshyagdi Club (MMC), Three Star Club (TSC), etc. He is also a player of the year 2012 and has been honored with various trophies and rewards. However, his career ended with shock to all the footballers’ lovers after being arrested for match-fixing in October 2015 including five members of the Nepal Football association. The Supreme Court on June 16, 2020, has given clean-chit to Sagar Thapa and five other players.
13. Anil Gurung
Anil Gurung born on 17 September 1986 is not a new name in Nepalese Football. He is one of the biggest inspiring footballers in whole the nation. He started his career from the Sahara club, Pokhara in 2001. He debut on 8 October 2007 World Cup Qualifiers against Oman for the National side played at Muscat. He has won 43 caps and has 9 goals to his tally. Anil became the first Nepalese player to score a goal in the home ground in a world-cup qualifying match.
Gurung made in the headlines when he was selected for a trial for the Chelsea reserve team. He has played for various national and international clubs including the 2001 Sahara club, 2003 Brigade Boys Club, 2004 Three Star Club, 2005 Manang Marshyangdi Club, 2007 New Road Team, 2009-2010 Shillong Lajong FC.
He was a key player in various tournaments for Nepal including FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, Nehru Cup, AFC Challenge Cup, etc.

14. Biraj Maharjan
Biraj Maharjan born on 18 November 1990 is a professional footballer from Nepal. He made his first appearance for the national team in a friendly on 25 March 2008 against Pakistan played in Pokhara, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Nepal. Maharjan a solid Nepalese defender graduated from ANFA Academy in 2007. He is among the few players who have played more than 50 Caps for Nepal national football team. He has scored his 1st International goal against Kyrgyzstan in 2008 AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers.
He has played from Sankata Club, New Road Team (NRT), Three Star Club (TSC), and at present Manang Marshyangdi Club. He has been an outstanding player in the defense line for Nepal having been played at different knockouts and international tournaments including FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, Nehru Cup, AFC Challenge Cup, etc.
Biraj Maharjan is one of the most reliable defenders in Nepal National team squad who already has been the role model for many Nepalese youth. In his Captaincy, the Nepali national football team lifted the first international trophy in the last 23 years defeating Bahrain U-23 team 3-0 in the final of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup played in Dhaka. This is the first time Nepal has lifted an international title since winning the gold in the South Asian Games in 1993.
15. Kiran Chemjong
Kiran Chemjong also known as Kiran Kumar Limbu was born on 24 March 1990 in Dhankuta. Chemjong played debut match for Nepal in 2008 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers. ANFA Academy graduate, plays as a goalkeeper, and started his career from Machhindra Football Club in 2008-2009 season. He played for both the Nepali giant clubs Three Star Club and Manang Marshyangdhi Club where he was outstanding having won dozens of tournaments.Honors
