This blog includes the daily update of coronavirus cases in Nepal. All the information listed here is as of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The first positive case in Nepal was confirmed on 23 January 2020 on a 31-year-old student, who had returned to Kathmandu from Wuhan which was also the first recorded case of COVID-19 in South Asia. The first case of local transmission was confirmed on 4 April in Kailali District. The first death occurred on 14 May.
A total of 975559 cases have been confirmed as of 20th February 2022, affecting all 77 of the 77 districts. 951394 of them have recovered, while 11921 have died. On 19 March, the government declared suspension of all classes i.e. Cinema halls, cultural centers, transportation, stadiums, gyms, health clubs, museums, swimming pools, entertainment spaces, dance bars and clubs, Regular classes and examinations of academic institutions, hotels, restaurants, and shopping malls were suspended as a precaution measure.
